  1. Icon providing screen sharing

    Dear Skype and Skype Community,

I am using a Lenovo laptop with Windows 10. I wish I could "screen share".... but the icons "3 dots"... or the "+" sign are NOT displayed when I make a call either by video or phone. What shall I do to have those icons displayed to allow me to "screen share"? Please help me.

    :)

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

    Hi Richard,

To help you better provide us with the information below.

    • Which build is currently running on your computer?
    • Did you make any recent software changes on your computer?

As an initial step I would suggest you Right click on Desktop Window> View > Check Shows desktop icons, check if the desktop icons are back on desktop.

Check if the Icons or files are available in the My Documents>Desktop folder, check if icons are visible in the folder.

Get back to us with the updated status of the issue for further assistance.

    starstart screen icons missingt

    Hi,

Corrupted system files may be the possible cause why your Start screen icons are missing. To provide you the accurate resolution, we'd like to gather more information:

    • Have you made any recent changes prior to this issue?
    • Are you getting any error messages?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

In the meantime, we suggest that you follow the steps in this article on how to troubleshoot
problems with Start menu or Cortana.

If the issue still persists, we suggest that you download and run Windows Apps Troubleshooter by clicking on this
link. This will let you automatically diagnose Windows apps/Store concern and will provide you a remedy.

Additionally, you can also try the suggestion shared by Rohit Siddegowda on this
thread about creating a batch file that will clear the tile cache.

Keep us posted if you need additional help.
