Windows 10: Icon/tile size on start menu in Win 10

Win 10 gives two 'Resize' options for icons/tiles on the start menu when you add something via 'Pin to Start'. These sizes are 'Small' and 'Medium'.

Does anyone know if there is a very small option at all?

Windows 10 Start menu lost 120 px tiles

I just upgraded to Windows 10 from 8.1 and so far love it. However I liked the Win 8.1 start screen being large and full page and having the colorful large 120 px tiles.

I had Office 2013 installed on 8.1

On Win 10 the start menu has shrunken the icon size on the tiles to the small size for all of the Office 2013 programs. They are small icons floating in the middle of the tile which doesn't appeal to me aesthetically.

How do I get the large 120 px tiles back? I am speaking in particular for Excel, Access, One Note, Power Point, etc.

I figure they are lurking somewhere in the system. I think they are called the Modern UI tiles.

 

Start Screen icons are dissappearing

I have Windows 10 pro, I use the full screen start menu.

A few weeks ago, some of the icons from the tiles on my start screen disappeared. The tiles remain, with the correct background color and size, but the icon is gone.

It's not every tile, mostly Microsoft products - Excel, Word, Edge, all office products in fact, plus Chrome and Gimp.

Rebooting doesn't fix it, but resizing the tile does.

But the fix only lasts a day or two then the icons start disappearing again.

 

Only ever seen Small, Medium, Wide or Large, and not all these options are available for every App.
