Windows 10: Icons are completely missing on all accounts except my main one

I have a bit of a unique problem. In most of the accounts on the computer I use, no icons are shown anywhere aside the taskbar. None appear on the desktop, in File Explorer, or anywhere else. The Folder Trees (Explore) section of File Explorer is even missing. The Desktop Icons setting is not disabled either, as the text labels still appear (aside from the aforementioned Explore section).






But what makes this problem especially bizarre is that my account shows the icons just fine.





This may be no big deal if I was the only one using the computer, but the rest of my family uses it too, so they have to be stuck with this nagging no-icons issue. The icons used to appear on the other accounts, but they just vanished one day. This issue has been in effect for probably a year now.
Is this issue caused by a glitch, faulty update, or a hidden setting that no one on the Internet has ever talked about (as far as I can see)? Please let me know.

Remove account


I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
