Windows 10: Icons inside the search won't launch.

Hello,

I've had this problem for quite a while, but since I wasn't active on my laptop, it didn't bother me.


I had installed Anaconda which is some data science package, that comes equipped with Spyder IDE, and Jupyter notebook. I've noticed that the app list icons work flawlessly, but when searching, the icons wouldnt' launch at all!!


I am going to insert the pictures, and then you can maybe understand my problem?




For the first pic, the icon launches without any problem, and also shows the list of options associated with it.




But for the next one, it does not even launch, and I can't even access it's directory. Even the right click won't work.

  Check show search icon

Trouble with search bar (won´t find data)

Try the following methods and check if it helps:

Method 1:

I suggest you to run the search and indexing troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on the Start button and click on Control Panel.
• Click on the Indexing Options.
• Click on the Troubleshoot search and indexing.

If the issue persists then follow the below method.

Method 2:

Try to run a System File Checker (SFC) scan to check for any file corruption. SFC scan will scan for corrupt system files on the computer and repair them.

Follow the below steps:

• Windows key + X, click Command Prompt (Admin).
• Command Prompt, type the following command, and then press
  ENTER:

sfc /scannow

Weird desktop icon behaviour on Steam

Yes, they are; however, when I right click on the "blue sphere" icon to change it and browse to the corresponding folder inside the Steam folder, it lets me go through all the steps, but the blue sphere remains. *Confused
