Windows 10: Icons move from 2nd monitor to main after reboot of dual monitors in extended mode

I have dual monitors set up in extended mode. I like to keep Skype for Business and Sticky Notes open on my second monitor while keeping most of my shortcuts on my main monitor. However, when I start up each day, all the Sticky Notes have moved to my main menu. This started when I went to Windows 10. It worked fine in Windows 7.

Desktop icons - dual monitors extended view...

I am using Winows 10 with a dual monitor setup - extended display option. My laptop is the main monitor. I cannot get all the desk top ICONS to appear on the main monitor (this was the case some time ago but I cannot get to look that way now).

Even though the main monitor (laptop) is not full of Icons some portion of the total destop ICONs always shows up on the second monitor. BTW - the same ICON always appear on the secondary monitor.

How can I get get all ICONS on the main monitor only in extended view?

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.

Need to disable the extended desktop mode on a 2nd monitor

I want my kid's Windows 10 Pro's setting to stick to duplicate for his 2nd monitor which is wall mounted in my study. So I can keep an eye on what he is doing on his computer. He denies he changed the setting to the extended desktop mode to avoid my watching
him today. He is a regular user on his computer, but he still has the access to change the multi-monitor settings.

How do I block his access? Or put it another way, how do I make the setting fixed to duplicate? Or can the extended desktop mode for the 2nd display be disabled? Or is there a way to do this by changing the registry settings? Thank you very much in advance.
