Windows 10: Icons of Windows Store apps missing on the taskbar on Windows 11

Hello,After upgrading to Windows 11 Pro 22H2, the icons of Windows Store apps for example: Terminal or Notepad are missing on the taskbar.I tried a lot of things but without any success :Restore the systemRepair Windows StoreReinstall Windows Store completelyRun DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and sfc.exe /scannowOn a local profile on the same computer, it's working fine the one with the issue is connected with a Microsoft account.Thank you for your help.

App Icons Missing

• Have you tried searching for a specific app and check if it will appear on the search results?

Blank icon on taskbar windows 10

• Does this happen only with the 3 apps you've mention or with other application also?
• Are you getting any error messages when you tried to click those apps with missing icons in your Taskbar?

Windows 11 taskbar icons not working

I appreciate your interest in Windows 11. I understand that Taskbar icons are not working after upgrading to Windows 11. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

1. What happens when you click on an icon on the Taskbar?
   
2. Do you receive any error message/code?
   
3. Does this issue occur with all the icons?
   

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to try re-registering the taskbar and see if that works. Kindly follow the steps mentioned below.

1. Press Windows + X keys together and click on Windows PowerShell (Admin)
   
2. Now type in the following command and hit Enter: Get-AppXPackage -User ([System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity]::GetCurrent().Name) *ShellExperienceHost* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
   
3. Restart the PC once the command is complete.
   

If the issue persists, you can try creating a new user account and then see if you are able to access the icons on the Taskbar.
