    icons on taskbar won't work

Just updated today with this new Win 10 Update and talk about screwing things up. Every one of my icons that I have on my Taskbar won't work. First off, they are no longer icons just blank except of course anything that is Microsoft isn't except for file explorer, it no longer works either I have to go to Cortana and type in File Explorer in order to do anything. Some of my programs got screwed up to, I had to uninstall then reinstall. I tried to pin the exe's to the task bar but with no luck, now I have to have them on my desktop. I think Microsoft screwed up. Anyone else having any problems?

    :)

That would mean that they no longer exist. Microsoft did not screw anything up. Sounds like there was stuff that did not carry over or was removed because those items were not considered properly signed or valid. It is your computer not Microsoft's. Your responsibility, not Microsoft's to keep backups. Your responsibility of making sure that you have legally purchased and valid under Windows licensing that they use with Windows 10 to lock the system do so that it does not become compromised by a virus or work.

Since I've been using windows I have never encountered this mess. First of I couldn't even use the windows icon to get to settings or anything else, if I clicked on it nothing happens, I couldn't even use file explorer which comes with windows and that too was gone. I tried to restart the computer and had to use my reset button on my case. You're trying to tell me that EVERY program you buy has to be certified by Microsoft before you install it. That's a crock of bull. I've had updates installed since Windows came out and everything always worked, now all of a sudden you're telling me that all the money I put out for programs won't work because they're not CERTIFIED by Microsoft. Sounds like Microsoft has gone off on the deep end and now you have to buy programs ONLY FROM THEM?. If that's the case then why can I put shortcuts on my desktop and they work? If Microsoft didn't want any program to work OTHER THAN THEIRS, all programs would have been wiped out and a new OS would have been installed. Sounds like it's ok to blame the user but don't blame Microsoft, sounds like something else that has been going around for the past year. I disabled the UPDATE ORCHESTRATOR SERVICE so no more updates can be installed. Thank god I use Macrium Reflect. I mirror my HD once a week just for this purpose. I knew at some point there would be a screw up. Microsoft should give you the option of updating and not forcing you to do it.

Not even going to attempt to decipher that Alphabet soup mess. See my previous post.
