Windows 10: icons scattered across monitors (win 10)

I just got this issue where my icons are scattered across my monitors. i use 3 monitors all at the same resolution 1920x1080. my Main display uses displayport, my second display uses DVI and my third uses HDMI to DP. I have auto arranged unchecked. i tried deleting IconCache.db several times but no fix. If i disconnect my third monitor the icons are placed exactly how they were before. i've also tried disconnecting the third monitor and restarting with only the other two. Anyone know a fix?

P.s im not using a laptop.

This issue might occur if there is display settings or icon settings.



To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

• What is the make and model of the computer?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to change auto arrange icon settings and also update display adapter driver in the Device Manager. Check if it helps.



Step 1: I recommend you to change auto arrange icon settings.

1. Right click on Desktop screen.

2. Then click on View.

3. Uncheck mark on Auto arrange icons.



Step 2: I suggest you to update the latest driver for display adapter in the Device Manager.

1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

2. Then type “devmgmt.msc” without the quotes and hit on
Enter Key.

3. Expand Display Adapter.

4. Right click on the driver and click on Update Driver Software.

5. Follow the instruction to update the driver.

Win 10 Icons problem!

We would be glad to help you with the issue you are facing today. I understand the difficulty with the problem.

• Are you trying to hide icon in the task bar.

If yes I suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Type in search bar “Turn system icons On or Off”.
• Select the option “Turn system icons On or Off”.
• Turn off the icons which you want to hide.

Emails are getting scattered with existing emails

OT- email

Recently my new emails are interspersed with existing emails. Formerly the new ones were always at the top of the list---now they are scattered through the list of emails. Is there a way I can correct this?
