Windows 10: I'd like to be able to cut and paste folders from a memory card to my PC....sounds simple...

I used to be able to cut a file/folder from a memory card and transfer/paste it to a folder on my PC. Now, Windows doesn't appear to offer the option of cutting AND if I copy everything and paste as a MUCH less desirable option, Windows doesn't even offer an option to delete the folder anymore!!!! This fills up my memory cards with redundant pictures in a hurry!!!!! How do I circumvent this obvious error on Microsoft's part? I know there's no use in trying to get them to fix it or change it back to the way it was a few months ago. Software companies like to break things that are working

I Cut-Paste a folder containing images from my fone memory card to PC. The images from the folder are missing in my PC now.

I occasionally Cut-Paste folders from my Phone memory card to the PC inorder to free up space in memory card. Yesterday I did the same. I Cut-Paste the folder from my Phone memory card to my PC through USB connection.

I didn't disconnect, there is no problem with my USB wire as it is new as well, the process didn't stop inbetween. When I checked my PC after the completion, there are no images in the folder which I copied, only the folder exist.
when I click, it goes inside and the folder is empty.

how do I get back the images. this is the first time happened to me. kindly help me out.

Cut and Paste Problem

• Are you trying to cut and paste a folder from an external device?
  
• Do you have any other User accounts on the computer? Did you check the files in other User accounts if any?
  
• Was there any interruption during the cut and paste process?
  
• If the cut and paste process was interrupted, did you receive any error code or error message?
  

I suggest you to check the missing files in the Recycle Bin and try recovering the files. You can also try manually searching the files by entering the file name in the search bar.

windows 10 cut and paste photos from folders

Hi,

If you are referring to the option "cut and paste photos" in photo gallery.

There is no option to cut and paste photos to folders using photo gallery or photo app.

But you can right click on the photo, copy the photo and paste it on other folder. once you done, you can delete the photo from the photo gallery.

If you want to cut and paste photos from one folder to another, follow the steps below.

- Right click on the photo and select 'cut'.

- Go to the location were you want to paste, right click and select paste.
