Windows 10: I'd like to know how to stop an audio in PowerPoint on a certain slide and not after a...

My audio needs to play across slides but then when it reaches a certain slide it needs to stop playing. The effect option of "stop playing after ___ slides" does not help because the number of slides varies because I'm using hyperlink. I'm making a sort of quiz-like presentation where in a slide there are 2 buttons saying "true" and "false" with hyperlink. If you click on true button, the hyperlink leads to another slide in the presentation saying you are correct. If you click on the other one, the hyperlink leads to another slide saying you are wrong and it will ask you to go back and try again. Because of that, the number of slides someone uses will depend if they chose the correct button or not. If they click on the correct button, they go through less slides, and if they click on the wrong button, they go through more slides because they need to try again. In the end, they reach a certain slide in which I wish the audio will stop playing because on the next slide a new audio will start playing.

1. May I know, if you are facing this issue on all the other sound applications as well?
2. Do you get any error code or error message when you try to record the audio?

We will have to try few troubleshooting steps to further eliminate the root cause of the issue.

Open Windows voice recorder and try to record any audio and check if that works.

PowerPoint file crashes PowerPoint upon opening

since this happens in some of the computers only, suggest that you open the file on working computer and copy everything and paste to a new powerpoint file.
most of the time it works to me. *Smile

 

Powerpoint animations play every time I visit the slide

I'm trying to create a prezi like presentation on Powerpoint 2016. I'm using the zoom to return feature, where I zoom into a particular section and then return to the master slide on the next click. However, every time I do that, it plays all the animations on the slides again. Is there any way to fix this?
