I was on web two days ago when my computer stopped and would not allow me to click off all the boxes claiming I was at risk for crashing it was beeping and sirens were going off...I was so startled and scared I called the number in which said it was Microsoft helpline...a tech gave instructions to allow him to navigate my computer and he showed me id.s and addresses in which said outside people were trying to access my computer and there were over13,000 and said that is too much I'm at risk for crashing...then asks for a one, two, or three year plan to install somethin to stop this from happening...we lost contact in one instance and I asked him an number I could call him back but, he called me back with a different number... when I told him I haven't money to give he got irate with me...I kept the numbers from his phone...was I scammed or was this a Microsoft Tech in legitimate cirrcumstance???

    :)

Windows 10 Family Safety is blocking my browser!!!

Can you confirm if you are out of the Family Safety feature on your parent's account on this
link? If you've confirmed that you're no longer on the list of monitored child accounts, we suggest deleting the Family Safety folder. Here are the steps:

    • Press Windows key + E on your keyboard.
    • On the address bar, type this address C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Parental Controls and press
      Enter.
    • Delete all contents of the Parental Controls folder.
    • Restart and see if the issue is resolved.

Let us know how it went for you.

Have you tried manually removing YouTube on the blocked websites at the Family Safety website? Base on how you setup your web filter, you have set the filter in which YouTube might not be included. So, to have YouTube exempted
on the list, please follow the steps below.

    • On any computer, sign in to the
      Family Safety
home page with your Windows Live ID.
Click Edit settings under the name of the child/member whose settings you want to change, and then click
Web filtering lists. Under Allow or block a website, type or paste into the box the web address of the website that you want to block. Select an option from the list, and then click
    Add. Click Save.

Don't forget to refresh your Family Safety settings to update the changes you made on the website. To refresh the settings, login to the Family Safety client installed on your PC and click the
Get the latest settings from the website button (located on the left side of?) on the upper right of the window. After doing this, verify if YouTube is now accessible or not.
