Windows 10: Id_Buddy removal

Recently someone I know got Id_Buddy on their computer with 2 other programs, all appeared to be spyware. The other 2 programs have been removed but there appears to be no way to remove Id_Buddy normally.


Searching the web for how to remove it results in sites saying only one tool called SpyHunter must be downloaded to get rid of it but that feels like part of the scam, claiming only one thing can remove the Id_Buddy program.


Is there a legit way to remove this?

Thanks but 2 of those steps do not work. Id_Buddy does not show on Control Panel for removal and Malwarebytes said it removed stuff associated with it yet it still shows as being installed even after restarting the computer.

1. If you can't do step1, move on with the other steps. The step with HitmanPro might not be necessary.
