    Hey,


    Lenovo ideapad 330s less than 1 year old suddenly started giving contstant bluescreen restarts


    IRQL GT ZERO AT SYSTEM SERVICE

    SYSTEM THREAT EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED

    KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE

    CACHE MANAGER

    SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION

    PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA

    IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL

    ATTEMPTED TO WRITE TO RANDOM MEMORY

    PFN LIST CORRUPT

    MEMORY MANAGEMENT


    I reinstalled windows 10 from the boot disc, and the laptop was ok for a day or 2, then all the messages above appeared again. When installing, I did not manually FORMAT C: I just restarted with a direct boot from the CD drive


    Is the SSD failing or do you recommend I reinstall Windows again but FORMAT C: first?


    The laptop goes through phases now where I restart it and within seconds or minutes it just blue screens with one of the above

    Hello,

    I have a Lenovo Ideapad 330s-15ikb model and I was wondering if I should update my graphics drivers?
    I got a notification that new general drivers are available but I'm not sure if I should update or not. (I'm not sure if I am using general drivers or OEM ones)

    The one I have currently installed is the one from Lenovo's webpage: AMD VGA Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - 330S-14IKB, 330S-15IKB - GB



    My notebook is the 81f500gyhv model which means it has Intel core i5-8250u AND (!!!!) AMD radeon 540. It's NOT a ryzen machine!!!!!!!!!


    The one AMD offers to install is MUCH newer than the one I have. I did not use any external utilities, the driver downloaded from lenovo itself is offering the upgrade.

    So this seems to be a common issue.

    This thread has some answers. One solution is to download older drivers and then force them in.

    Also suggest a Cortana search which should be quick.

    This video walks you through selecting a driver using browse my computer.



    If using older driver works then you need to tell Windows to stop updating drivers. I can provide details once you have your trackpad settings.
