Windows 10: Ideapad slim 1-14ast 05 boot configuration data missing

I made some updates and then restart my laptop and then stop code: INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE appears on the boot screen.

I then tried automatic repairs, and ither repair assistance with command prompr but to no avail.

DISKPART> List disk

There are no fixed disk to show


X:\Sources>chkdsk

The type of the file system is NTFS.

The volume is in use by another process. Chkdsk might report errors when no corruption os present.

Volume label is Boot.

Upon reboot, I ge the following message:
"Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
The Boot Configuration Data file is missing some required information.
File: \BCD
Error Code: 0x000000d

You'll need to use the recovery tools on your installation media, If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your system administrator or PC manufacturer."

I've followed steps of doing bootrec/rebuildbcd - it says "add installation to boot list? Yes(Y)/No(N)/All(A) - I've tried to select Yes and All but it comes up with the requested system device cannot be found.

I really don't want to lose my data so any suggestions would be great?

I followed your instructions but Macrium could not find an operating system. See image below.




I pressed next anyway and selected C: and pressed next again.





I ran the fix and everything seems to have worked fine. I then restarted my computer.





I was greeted with a new error *Sad





Any idea on what to do next?

I am currently doing an error scan with no damaged blocks after 15 minutes. I will leave it on and come back later and post the result.

So to summarize I currently have this error when trying to boot my computer.

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
<Windows root>\system 32\hal.dll.

 

Boot Configuration data missing error code:0x000014c

My laptop automatically installed Windows 10 and since then it won't boot up. When turning on the laptop I receive a message that says "the boot configuration data for your pic is missing or contains errors" followed by error code:0x000014c
