Windows 10: IDENTIFYING VERY ANNOYING MS ALERT SOUND

For about a year now I keep hearing a very annoying alert sound no matter what program I am running. It is especially annoying when I am recording stuff, especially since the sound gets recorded at the same time.I have listened to every Microsoft sound in the Windows folder, and every other audio file on my computer shorter than 1 MB and this particular alert ~42 kb is not to be found. I suppose it may be imbedded is some program that is running in the background, but which one?Whenever I hear the alert I quickly note the exact time it occurred and then check for the newest file to be adde

  When you say ‘’cannot find how to set text message alert sounds’’ are you referring to setup a particular sound/alert for the message or there is no sound alert at all when you received the message?

Loss of alert sounds

We'd like to ask for additional information:

• Is the alert sounds is included in your taskbar before?
• What's the error when you tried to run the troubleshooter?
• Have you tried to check the alert sound in the start menu?

Meanwhile, kindly uninstall and reinstall the app and let's see if the alert sounds will reinstalled together with the application.
