Windows 10: IDo I need a software code number to upgrade from Win 10 to 11 or is my digital license...

I have Windows 10 installed by Dell on my Dell Computer, it has a Digital License in my Microsoft account. I wish to upgrade to windows 11, which has already downloaded to my computer I believe. Do I need a software code number or is my digital license going to cover that?

Thanks for your suggestion. I solved the problem with my License Key with Belarc Advisor Software. The Digital License code was a numeration that Microsoft Corporation has given to all that have Windows Account specially to those that has free upgraded
to Windows 10. Under the Digital License appears the original code.

 

Win 10 to Win 11 upgrade >>> What happens to digital license?

I am planning to upgrade my Win 10 Pro machine to Win 11 Pro. I currently have a digital license.





If, say six month from now, I decided I was not a fan of Win 11 and wanted to go back to Win 10, would that be possible? If I fully formatted my machine, and installed a fresh copy of Win 10 Pro on it, would my digital license still work for Win 10 Pro. Or would it only work for Win 11 Pro at this point?

Windows 11 to 10 downgrade, digital license

Hello!

I've tried looking an answer through the forums and microsoft pages but my question still stands.

Two years ago I bought a prebuilt PC with windows 10 installed. Then I got an automatic upgrade to windows 11 which I need to downgrade back to 10 due to compatibility issues with VR software (more than 2 months have passed). My current windows 11 version is "activated with a digital license" but I haven't connected it with my microsoft account yet.

What steps should I follow to secure a windows activation after a clean windows 10 installation?

1. I know that I need to create an installation media for windows. Do I choose "upgrade computer now" or "create an installation media to use on another computer"?
   
2. Do I connect my windows 11 current digital license to my microsoft account now or wait until after I install windows 10 again?
