IEEE 802.11 High Efficiency WLAN Study Group Created

IEEE, the world's largest professional organization advancing technology for humanity, today announced the creation of an IEEE 802.11 study group to define the scope of a future IEEE 802.111 amendment with the aim of enhancing the efficiency and performance of wireless local area network (WLAN) deployments. The new IEEE 802.11 High Efficiency WLAN (HEW) Study Group will consider use cases, including dense network environments with large numbers of access points and stations.

More than 300 individuals from equipment and silicon suppliers, service providers, carriers, systems integrators, consultant organizations and academic institutions from more than 20 countries have expressed interest in participating in the work to define the scope for a future HEW project. The IEEE 802.11 HEW Study Group meets during IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN Working Group meetings, the schedule for which can be found here. ieee 1394 driver absent

This is a response to both Sangeeta Sarkar and JimWynne.

Thanks guys.

To start with, IEEE controller was not showing in the device list.

I was able to install the driver package from where Jim had suggested.

However now windows says the driver is up to date but its not working and shows Error 10 (see screen shot), What next?. There was one workaround available in the forum on tweaking regedit but it seems to be not applicable to me

 

can't intall IEEE Win 10

I followed the steps to install IEEE for Windows 10. But the installation step did not see the IEEE Driver appear in the Control panel (including x86 and x64 versions). Please help me, why the installed driver does not appear in the Control Panel as instructed
??
