Windows 10: If a laptop connects to a wifi via "always connect," does the owner of this wifi have...

I do not have wifi. I had the ATT service tech turn it off because it had been hacked. I use the cable when I connect to the internet.


I did not connect to the internet one evening but somehow when I clicked on the "Wifi" button, all available Wifi networks appeared red and had changed to "always connect" and all were checked. My neighbor's Wifi was listed. Would he have access to my computer and external hard drives? Because I thought I wasn't connected, I hadn't any reason to turn on Norton's VPN nor did I think to try. Does this connection bypass my computer's security?


The wifi option on my computer had never before shown "always connect" and has since stopped doing so. I've seen many posts on this happening but few on how. Was my computer hacked to change this option to "always connect?" If so, how do I prevent this in future?

When will the wifi connectivity problems be solved?


OK, so the Windows 10 engineers bollixed up the wifi connectivity part of the operating system. Everybody knows that by now. It seems they are making some progress in resolving it. Now, instead of seeing "Secured, No Internet" on your list of wifi connections, you see "Connected, Secured" EXCEPT no webpages will load. So you really aren't connected. It does seem to be a step in the right direction. Does anybody know when they plan on a full and complete repair of this screw up of epic proportions?

Laptop loses wifi connection and often is difficult to connect.

My HP laptop running windows Ten has developed and annoying habit of losing the wifi connection. Often times it will not reconnect or it takes multiple attempts to get it connected. Many times, I can be right next to the router or to the personal hot spot and it will still not connect.
Many times rebooting will allow me to reconnect, but it is happening multiple times in a day. Any suggestions?
