The Community Forum seems to imply that this is true.Can anyone confirm this?If this is true and I have to reload the ORIGINAL Win 11 HOME via Lenovo's USB Recovery Disc, and then apply my Windows Store Win 10/11 Pro "update", how and when does Win 11 ENTERPRISE get applied again?I'm confused

Purchase of win 11 pro upgrades device to windows 11 enterprise

I upgraded from win 10 home on my Surface 4 to win 11 home. Then purchased the win 11 pro from the app store. However, now windows thinks that I am running Windows 11 Enterprise with an invalid license and I cannot activate it. How can I activate Windows 11 Pro, the version I purchased.

 

Updating Win 11 to pro from a disabled PC

It was bought separately as Win 7 and then updated to 10. If I go back to Win 10 OEM, could I update that to pro and then upgrade to Win 11? They are both listed in my Microsoft account.

Here's Microsoft's official steps to Upgrade Windows Home to Windows Pro (microsoft.com).

1. Select Start > Settings > System > Activation.
   
2. Under Upgrade your edition of Windows, select Open Store
   
3. Make sure you’re signed in with your Microsoft account to purchase Windows 11 Pro
   
4. After you confirm your purchase, you’ll be prompted to install Windows 11 Pro and restart your PC. You’ll then be running Windows 11 Pro.
