I'm looking to delete my old Gmail account because it's flooded with spam and I no longer use it for anything important. However, it's currently the primary email on my Microsoft account. I added my new email as an administrator on my device and linked it to my Microsoft account. I tried to change the primary email to my new one, but I used up all the allowed attempts to switch it. Since my new email is already added, I’m wondering if deleting the old Gmail account will automatically make my new email the primary one. Can I safely delete my old Gmail account without causing any issues?

Change Microsoft Account Details in Administrator Account

It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials. Windows allows only one user account for each email address, if the new account exists you cannot switch the original administrator account to an MS account using the same email address. HELP to Change Administrator Email on New Laptop

The email address that you are using in the Microsoft Store will be the email address that will appear as your administrator account. Signing in your son's Microsoft account in Xbox app might change the account that signed in to the Microsoft Store. That
being said, we suggest that follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Open Settings.
• Select Accounts.
• In the Your Info tab, Under Your
  email and accounts, click on
  Sign in with a
  local account instead.
• Enter the password for the Microsoft account to confirm that you are authorized to make the change, and then click on
  Next.
• On the Switch to a Local Account
  page, enter a temporary local user name and password.
• Click on Next to sign out from the Microsoft account and sign back in using the new local account password.
• Go back to Accounts, and this time, click on Sign in a Microsoft account instead.
• Fill up the information needed.

This step will change the email account linked on your administrator account. If you will let your son play on the Xbox app again, we suggest that you
create a separate user account for him.

Undo Built-in Administrator Account tied to a Microsoft Account

Hello @Converseallstar95,

Could it be that the built-in Administrator may just be signed in to the Store app with the Microsoft account?

If so, then you could reset the "Microsoft Store" app back to default to see if that may remove the association.

If not, then check to see if it may be listed using step 3 in Option Two below, and can be removed.
