Windows 10: if i buy a soundbar for my old dell monitor can i get sound from hdmi?

As the title says,I have a semi old dell monitor and it has a option for a sound bar speaker. i use this monitor mainly to play console games more then a actual monitor at the moment. I connect to the hdmi slot on the back on the monitor. I was wondering if i buy a sound bar would I be able to make it pick up the sound from the hdmi input?

No startup sound in Windows 10

I'm using a soundbar that produces sound from my Smart TV that I use as a monitor that, in turn, connects to my PC with an HDMI cable. When I power up, I simultaneously power up my PC, my TV/monitor and the soundbar. Sometimes when I boot up, I can only
hear the last part of the Windows startup sound. So I'm guessing it could be either related to Bluetooth switch on time or a slow communication from the Windows system trying to recognise the audio source. In either case, I'm sure it will be solved in the
future but for now, I actually don't mind have no startup sound.

 

If I buy a Lumia elsewhere, can I get support for it here?

Warranty can only be supported in country of origin.

It is up to the user to ensure the phone will operate on the carrier in Canada. You can not expect radio frequencies in the phone to match what your carrier operates at

 

Probably not. All the old sound bars (basically external speakers) I've seen require an analog audio input from the PC.
Does the monitor have a "speaker" out (usually green colored) on the monitor? If it does you can connect that to the sound bar.
