Will I lose Microsoft Office that I purchased and Windows that I purchased, and also, I don't know if it's OEM because I got Windows along with the computer?

When I reset Windows 11 option remove everything and download Windows from the cloud, will it format the SSD?

Hi Dave,

thank you. I followed the steps, and selected to Download from Cloud option. However for some reason it will say "unable to download" and "select local reinstall". This means the PC will use a local image stored in the SSD partition. If I do so, will it format the whole SSD (delete all partitions) and reinstall Windows 11?

Reset your PC using cloud download fails

Hi,

I understand that you are facing issues in resetting PC using cloud download option



In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the make and model number of your PC?
  
• What happens when you select cloud download option for reset?
  
• Do you get any error while trying to reset PC using cloud?
  
• Do you use Wi-Fi or wired connection for internet?
  
• Are you aware of any recent changes on the PC prior to this issue?
  

Please provide more information regarding the issue

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to perform a clean installation of Windows on PC, you can refer the section Clean install of Windows 10 using installation media from the article Reinstall Windows 10

Note: Performing a clean installation will remove all the applications/programs. Hence before doing that, please backup your important data at least on an external hard disk

Unable to reset my pc through cloud download option ?

Recently, I downloaded and installed a game from a non-trusted website on My PC, the game is full of malware and viruses which destroyed security services and I wanted to reset my pc (remove everything) with cloud download and I don't want to use local reinstall, I tried two methods to reset pc with cloud download

Settings > update and security > recovery > Reset this pc. After it shows two options get started and advanced startup restart now

So Firstly I clicked on get started option which takes 1 second loading and doesn't open

Secondly I clicked on restart now, it showed please wait, then choose an option, I choose troubleshoot, then reset this pc, then remove everything

After following this my pc restarted and showed me option to cloud download or local reinstall so I selected cloud download then it takes loading and says unable to download please try reset this pc using the local reinstall option.

And I don't want to choose local reinstall

Please help me resetting my pc to remove everything completely with cloud download option.

Hope I will get a fix on my Issue
