    If I close my hotmail.com account will it be closed immediately?


    Good morning,I noticed my Hotmail account is trying to be hacked into numerous times throughout the day. almost every other hour or so. I know this because my Authenticator app tells me who is trying to access my account. A few questions, if I close my account will someone be able to reuse my old Hotmail address? Also, does it close immediately? I have read somewhere that Microsoft does not close account immediately. If that's the case and I choose to close my Hotmail email, will my Authenticator app still work between the time I choose to close account and Microsoft officially closing/deletin
