Windows 10: If I delete files on my new laptop, will they also delete on my original desktop PC

Hello! Just got a new envy laptop… I have to say I am sort of overwhelmed by itI mistakenly imported all my files to the new laptop.. I don't want all the junk from my desktop PC on my laptop. Three questions:If I delete those files on my new laptop, does it also delete them on the PC? Is there a way to reverse what I have done and just make the laptop refresh start ?I tried to make Google Chrome my default browser, and it does not appear in the apps as an option.. how can I make that happen… I don't like Microsoft edge at all! Way too noisy and always trying to sell something!Very frustrati

Cant Delete Files From Desktop

Well, ran into a weird bug with vista, for some reason i cant delete files from desktop, this normaly happens to .exe files, the ONLY fix seems to be to KILL explorer.exe, and delete the file, then restat explorer, anybody got any idea why this happens?

 

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

our policy is to delete only spam/inappropriate posts.

the only person who can "hard delete" posts on the forums is me .. everybody else can just soft-delete the posts, the original author will see those posts in the threads list with a comment why it was deleted.
