Windows 10: If I purchase a new license for Windows, will the install fix a jumbled MBR.

I have a Dell laptop that was shipped with Windows. I think the power dropped off during an update. Now, it says it has a corrupt BR, I cannot find the embedded license # for windows.


Dell says that it does not have an image for my service tag, but images exist for the computer. They want to charge for service.


I have tried a command prompt chkdsk /f, bootrec, all of those.


When I install Windows, will it recreate a MBR?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

So, just to clarify:

• Purchase a license from the Microsoft Store
• Download official Windows 10 ISO files
• Prepare the bootable media
• Perform the Windows 10 Home in-place upgrade you described in steps 55 to 63 above

Is this correct?

Last questions:

• What happens is the Windows 10 Home in-place upgrade does not work? Do I have to perform a clean install?

Jumble won't advance to next level.

I indicated Windows 10 and "ease of access" which I'm not sure what that means, but they didn't list Games so this was the only way to get a post.

• I am at level 80 in Jumble.
• I have all correct words, bonuses, et.
• I have 3 stars.
• But I'm supposed to go thru a "gate" but every time I click on it, it tells me I have to get at least one star.
• Ran the troubleshooter for Jumble with no results.
• I installed and reinstalled Ultimate Word Games.
• Called Microsoft support but they didn't tell me to do something that I had already done. They did send a link but their article did not solve the issue.

Any geniuses out there with suggestions? Thanks!
