    If I RDP into a server by name it says my password is wrong.


    I have many servers, recently some of them begin giving me an error that my credentials were invalid password. If I RDP into the same server, using the IP address instead of the server's name, the login works.Two other admins here have seen the same thing.Anybody have a fix?

    Sorry to know you're experiencing this RDP connection issue.

    Please open Windows Credential manager, select Windows Credential and remove the entry for the server name.

    Please let me know if that fixes your issue or if you need any further assistance.

    Please perform the following test to verify if this is a reported bug. Open RDP again, then instead of domain\username use *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. If you are able to login using this username format, this is a Windows server bug related to the authentication.
