Windows 10: If I reinstall windows on a laptop can I re-enter the security key and get genuine windows...

I have recently upgrade a somewhat old laptop by switching out its HDD for an SSD. I did this by cloning parts of my HDD but not all of it. I have got the SSD working and it boots up okay, but some apps are noticably glitchy, so I wanted to reinstall Windows 10. I have the security key, but it's a digital license so I am unsure if entering it in while reinstalling will allow me to obtain a genuine copy of windows. Can I still get a genuine copy of windows without buying it using the same key on the same laptop?

Windows 7 not genuine problem

It seems like that's an OEM windows copy, it will do that the every time you reinstall the OS. If you have the key, next time you see the "not genuine windows copy" click it and choose to activate by phone, everything else is pretty straight forward as it explains step-by-step. If it doesn't work, then its highly likely that you got a Pirate copy.

How to reinstall Windows 10 if my computers used the free upgrade from 7 and 8?

Will windows 10 still accept the license keys from 7 and 8 now if I reinstall my computer?

Does Microsoft keep a list of users who upgraded to Win 10 using their 7 and 8 keys so that when users need to reinstall windows 10 the old keys would work?

Do I need to call in Microsoft to ask them to activate my Windows 10 when I give them my win 7 keys?

Both computers are laptops. The windows 7 machine had the serial printed on the back, and I needed to enter that when I upgraded to 10. The windows 8 machine had the serial built in inside its boot system so I didn't need to enter the key when I upgraded to 10, but I did manage to write down the keys using a fetcher program.
