Resetting both C and D drive together

A reset sets the PC back to original state, so was it origonally supplied with both C: & D: And is D:\ a seperate drive

Inany reset there is an option to retain old data

Resetting both C and D drive together

    Hi Lian_631,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

The Windows Reset option primarily wipes the C drive and re-installs Windows on that drive, there is an option to 'Clean the Drives' and that would wipe both drives, but that can take a huge amount of time, because it writes a 0 to every bit on the drive.

It is much easier and quicker to use the reset function to re-install Windows on the C drive, then when Windows is re-installed, open Disk Management and delete the partition from the D drive, then create a new partition on the D drive, that will delete all data from the drive.
