Windows 10: If I send a message using phone link, what does the receiver of my text see?

If I’m messaging someone using phone link or myphone what does the person see as my contact info? How does this show on a phone text log? Also if the person has an iPhone, would they get an sms short code as my displayed contact? Do they need Microsoft to access the text?

How to send an email that a phone receives as a text?

At my office, we want to have the ability to communicate with our electricians who are fairly low tech people. They don't check emails often, but text messaging would work fine for our need. I know with Verizon and Sprint you can using the text messaging app on the phone to text an email, and then if you reply to say L: 9995724770@VTEXT.COM that email will go to the phone as a text message.

Short of having all the electricians text an email to get these addresses, is there an easier way to go about this? I've never really dealt with mass texting before. Is say a Droid phone capable of sending a text to 40 people?

If you can’t send or receive text messages (SMS), try the steps given on
Lumia troubleshooting and repair. Select the following categories and perform the suggested steps provided. Under "What are
you having a problem with?" choose Messaging > I cannot send or receive text messages.

After each step, check to see if your issue has been fixed. Make sure to select the next options given if the problem persists.

There done, don't even need to use email. Can do it on a shitty little phone too.
