If I unlink my Microsoft account with a device running Windows 11, can I still use the Microsoft account to login to that PC? Actually I have shared my login password to another person, so that I unlinked my account with that PC and then changed the login password. I would like to know if that person can still login Windows 11 on that PC using the old password or he has to use his own Microsoft account for logging to that PC.

Trying to unlink or change a Microsoft account on a Windows 11 PC

I am struggling to unlink a Microsoft account from Windows 11. At some point my Daughter logged in playing Minecraft, and now her account has become the main account. I want to unlink it and link to another Microsoft account. I've followed videos and tutorials, and none of the steps seem to work.

How do I unlink a separate Microsoft account from Windows 11?

It sounds like you're trying to unlink a Microsoft account from your Windows 11 device. Fortunately, you don't need to reset your PC to do this. Follow these steps:

1. Click on the "Start" button and select "Settings".
   
2. In the Settings window, click on "Accounts".
   
3. In the Accounts section, select "Your accounts".
   
4. Here, you should see a list of all the Microsoft accounts linked to your device. Find the account you want to remove and click on it.
   
5. Click on "Manage" and then "Remove this account from this device".
   

Please note that removing an account will also remove its data from the device, so make sure you've backed up any important information before proceeding. Also, you'll need to be signed in as an administrator to remove accounts.

After you've removed the account, you should be able to sign in with your main Microsoft account and use the Nearby sharing feature without any issues.
