Windows 10: If I upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7,would windows 7 be a 2nd os?

I'm asking this because this problem occurred once on my PC and it was VERY laggy, and I needed to uninstall one of them wich was very hard.
And if anyone can respond to this thanks!

I purchase windows 7 I want to upgrade my 2nd laptop to windows 10 and it tells me windows 7 is invalid help

 

two windowses on one pc with one license?

basically subject is a question:

can i install two versions of windows on
SINGLE PC owning one license? (my license is OEM)

i know you need to buy upgrade from windows vista/xp to windows 7/8/10

but since (at least for now) you can instal windows 10 with windows 8/7 license

that would not violate license or would it?

eg.:

so if i have windows 7 license: can i instal on 1st hdd windows 7 and on 2nd windows 10 (still on one rig)

 

If you upgrade Windows 7 with Windows 10. Windows 10 would be your OS and you would have a Windows 10 license.

 

So that means it'll work just fine?

Your license permits you to go back to 7 if you like. You are only supposed to use the license to run one OS: 7 or 10, but not both.
