  2. A partition drive is e and not d in windows 10

Hi guys, when I installed windows 10 I did it using a USB. I went from windows 7 to windows 10. With Windows 7 I had made a partition, so I had OS (CIf i use reinstall windows 11 from settings will my other drives like E & D Drive's data... :) and (Data (DIf i use reinstall windows 11 from settings will my other drives like E & D Drive's data... :). When I installed Windows 10 (using the USB), what used to be Data (DIf i use reinstall windows 11 from settings will my other drives like E & D Drive's data... :), became (Data (EIf i use reinstall windows 11 from settings will my other drives like E & D Drive's data... :),
as the usb became Drive (DIf i use reinstall windows 11 from settings will my other drives like E & D Drive's data... :). So what I have now, after removing the usb is: OS (CIf i use reinstall windows 11 from settings will my other drives like E & D Drive's data... :) and (Data (EIf i use reinstall windows 11 from settings will my other drives like E & D Drive's data... :). And whenever I connect and external drive, such as a usb or a backup external hard drive, it becomes Drive (DIf i use reinstall windows 11 from settings will my other drives like E & D Drive's data... :). My question is if this is a problem, to have
OS (CIf i use reinstall windows 11 from settings will my other drives like E & D Drive's data... :) and (Data (EIf i use reinstall windows 11 from settings will my other drives like E & D Drive's data... :), instead of Data being D:? Is it important for Data to be D and not E, because when I start my computer, I don't always have connected a Drive D? Should I always have something connected to the computer so it becomes Drive D? Should
I re-install Windows 10 and make sure that Data is D:? Is this an issue for having (Data (EIf i use reinstall windows 11 from settings will my other drives like E & D Drive's data... :) and not as (Data (DIf i use reinstall windows 11 from settings will my other drives like E & D Drive's data... :)? I'm saying this because it's not following a right sequence and C and E are partitions, which were part of a same drive once, and it's not
following a sequence now. My computer has had some issues and I'm wondering if this could be the cause.

    Thanks!

Reinstalled Windows on drive C: and recovered data from drive D:.

I've reached a point where I've already tried all possible options to salvage my notebook unsuccessfully. (Starting in safe mode, checking BIOS, and scanning hardware, as well as using the SFC command) Unfortunately, none of them helped resolve the black screen after login. Since BIOS and hardware seem fine, and the SFC command detected and supposedly fixed corrupted files in the operating system, it appears that my Win11 OS is no longer accessible, so I'll probably have to reinstall it using a USB stick.

My notebook has 2 hard drives, each with 1 TB of storage. Drive C: is on one hard drive and houses the OS as well as less important data. Drive D: is on the second hard drive and contains very important data, some of which is not backed up. According to the hardware test, the hard drives are completely fine. Can I reinstall Windows 11 on Drive C: with the guarantee that the data on Drive D: will NOT be deleted? Should I perhaps remove the hard drive from Drive D:?

A partition drive is e and not d in windows 10

Both of the Directly "advisors'" responses thus far fail to point out (in addition to misspelling "Disk" Management) that if the flash drive has been assigned the drive letter "E" it won't be an available choice when you try to change the
letter on the drive. You will need to first remove the "D" designation on the flash drive, then assign "D" to the partition.
