Will this remove my license from the computer? I need to install windows on my new pc build

Windows Media Player 11 & Urge Removal

Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of urge on media player 11. I don't care for microsoft's new plan for DRM licensing. Sounds as if they are trying to license music in the same fashion they do their annoying software licensing. If not I'll start using VLC Media Player.

That's a really stupid thing to say, of course it wont work with Ipods because:
A) Ipods use the propriety DRM version of AAC, that Apple refuses to license to anyone.
B) Built in conversion for DRM music into mp3 for playback on an Ipod would make it easy for people to buy an album and just convert it to MP3 and pirate it. No online store in their right mind would do this.

Since Apple refuses to license DRM'd AAC to other companies, they should be forced to enable WMA playback on the Ipods, because right now Ipod/Itunes is a huge monopoly and obviously not fair business practices. The Ipod hardware already has the capability to playback WMA natively, Apple just locks that ability down. A new firmware could enable it, and allow Ipod users to use any online store they wish.

 

Windows Media Player 11 Final for Windows XP Released

Microsoft has released the final version of Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP. Version 11 has a redesigned user interface and incorporates seamless integration with MTV's URGE music service. According to Microsoft, the URGE online catalog provides customers with over 2 million songs by over 110,000 artists. Microsoft is also boasting that its improved search engine in Windows Media Player 11 provides faster results than any other media player on the market. You can download the player from here.
