Windows 10: If I want to wipe my laptop which came with factory installed windows10 pro but now...

I want to wipe my entire drive completely so that it’s unrecoverable, and then reinstall windows. I was told I wouldn’t have much of a problem since I have an OEM.On a separate note if it’s possible I would appreciate a few tips on wiping my SSD as well. Thanks

Wipe and re-install Windows

I have an older desktop computer that I want to wipe clean and re-install the operating system. It’s was upgraded to Windows 10 PRO from Windows 7 PRO quite a while ago. The original factory image that came the computer is Windows 7 and no longer
supported. So, if I re-install from the original factory image, will I be able to update it and get back to a current version of Windows 10? The original factory image is all I have.

Any suggestions or advise will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it

 

Installing Windows 10 Stuck

I, actually, was performing a full clean, wiping everything from the computer. Windows 10 came with the laptop. Where would I find the product key? Also, how do I get pass the Installing Windows page to perform the steps listed on the suggested post.

I have refreshed and restored Windows laptops before. I have never had this particular problem.
