Windows 10: If my dad purchased minecraft Java and bedrock edition as gift and sends it to my email...

I wanna know because I plan on getting the game

I purchased Minecraft Java and bedrock edition for pc as a gift and now can’t get it to download the Java edition

I purchased Minecraft Java and bedrock edition for pc as a gift through the online Microsoft store feature for a friend, my friend received the email and redeemed the gift, he is able to download the launcher and Minecraft bedrock edition but not able to download Java, we’re both on pc’s. He’s signed into the correct account across the board and when he goes to the game page for the Java and bedrock edition it tells him to play with game pass or purchase it, and he can only play the demo of Java but has full access to bedrock, we’ve spent 5 hours troubleshooting ourselves and I’m beginning to think it’s on Microsoft’s end

If you have bought Minecraft before, you’re now getting the other edition for free. Woot! Follow these steps to redeem it:

Go to the Microsoft Store listing for Minecraft: Java & Bedrock for PC.

Sign-in to the Microsoft Store with your Microsoft account.

Once you’re signed in, instead of a “Buy” button you should see a button that says “Get.” Click this button – and now you own both editions!

HOW DO I RUN OR PLAY EITHER VERSION OF MINECRAFT?

Once you’ve completed the steps above, including logging into the Microsoft Store, you can now download the Minecraft Launcher.

To play Minecraft: Java Edition, download and install the correct launcher for your operating system. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Java Edition.

Hello I downloaded a game called minecraft java and bedrock edition then when it has been installed I only had bedrock edition not java and I downloaded the java on Microsoft store and it still did not work so can you help me know what is wrong and by the way my windows is 10 okay so can you help me please.
