Windows 10: If my pc is on stage 2 and if it is complete I want to ask

Do i lose my data stored in c drive or any other drive and all my installations or we can say my pc will reset?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

WP8 2 stage authentication

I went and tried this. I found the wording very confusing, but eventually I was able to get the account paired and it appears to be working.



I'll share the steps I went through.



Went to live.com and then into account management

Went to Security info and clicked on Authentication

Opened the Authentication app on my phone and scanned the code on the screen

Inserted the code displayed on the screen into the website and clicked paired.



After a few minutes it appeared to complete.



I checked my email, my contacts, SkyDrive via the Office hub, everything appeared to work. I rebooted my phone and turned it back on.. Everything appeared to work.

I went through the steps in method 1 as described. The process took over 3 hours, and the first 4 stages found no errors. The 5th stage reported Bit Map errors, and repaired successfully. Restarted the PC and the same error 0xc000021a came up. I then followed
Method 2 as recommended. The first 3 steps were successful and the 4th step asked to "add installation to boot list" and I responded "Y", when it returned an error "PC/Device needs repair. Configuration Data Missing or corrupt"

I hope the message give a clue to what is broken, and a possible solution.
