I had another try at burning the cd and it FAILED! **** microsoft and bill gates for his incompetant coders and programmers that do not have to put up with this ****' ****.If I could afford it, I would buy an apple laptop, but I found out that only certain years can get upgrades to the NEW OS coming out, so older ones are not compatible.

.cda file not getting detected on Windows Media Player

I understand that .CDA file are not getting detected on Windows Media Player. We will assist you to resolve the issue.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps to resolves the issue.

• Press Windows Key + X and choose Control Panel.
• Choose "Default Programs" link from the
  Control Panel. When the new window opens, click on the "Associate a file type or protocol with a program" option.
• Scroll down on the list until you find the ".cda" file extension. Highlight the file type by clicking it once.
• Choose "Change program." link in the top left corner of the screen. Wait for Windows to generate a list of programs compatible with the CDA file extension and open a new window.
• Highlight Windows Media Player in the program list window and click the "OK" button.
• Click the "Close" button after the list refreshes.

Changing .cda files to open by default with groove app.

As per the query you would like to set .cda files to open with groove music as default music player.

Please provide us the below information.

1- Are you using desktop or laptop?

2- If you are using desktop than what is the make/model of the keyboard and if it is laptop than what is the model number of the device?

3- Are you also trying to change the music button on the keyboard to launch Groove Music instead of Windows Media Player?

To set default *.cda files to open with groove music.
1. Type default and select the default.
2. Click on associate a file type or protocol with a program.

3. Click on change program and select Groove music.

4. Close the Window.

Playing a CDA file format on Windows

I am not a well versed computer user and I need help converting files from CDA format to mp3. Is there anyone here that can give me step by step instructions on how this can be done? I need this file converted and have no idea how to physically go through
the steps and complete the process. Please help and I will forever be thankful.

I just want to add that my urgency in getting this process figured out was that it was being asked in connection to an investigation into a murder and that is why it was so important to have. Thank you.
