  1. If you had to uninstall an update due to it causing a major issue with your OS, what do you...

I turned on my computer this morning and it was stuck in a Windows repair run and would only loop endlessly if I tried restarting it. The night before when I last used my laptop, it updated while shutting down (I didn't interrupt the update or anything, I just let it go). So I assumed it might have been from that.

I contacted a customer support and they said it's likely the update too. I couldn't even uninstall it from the repair options blue screen inbetween the repair loop, so I chose a system restore option and that seemed to work and everything on the computer went back to normal. I've heard of these update issues before but this was the first time I ever experienced it.
I don't want an update issue like that to happen again. So will the next update Windows 10 pops up be that same one that messed it up before, and what should I do in that case for anyone who's dealt with this before?

    Thanks!

Windows 10 update: start up and sleep issues caused

    Dear Vijay,

Thank you for your response: apologies for slow feedback.

Regarding step 1 - doing a restore point : I tried this twice and twice it failed. Now, the date of the update that caused the issue (13/14 September 2019) has disappeared from the history list. Is there a way of finding it, still?

Regarding Step 2- the list of updates installed: the two suggestions above do not seem to appear in the list in the window "Installed Updates".

There are two updates listed for 13 September - Security Update for Adobe Flash Player and Security Update for Microsoft Windows.

Could you advise what I might try next?

    Thank you so much.
