Windows 10: If your "OK" AND "CANCEL" button are not showing in the EV Environmental Variables Window ....

You may have to follow just 2 Steps :Step 1 : Just open Settings in Apps and select Display & Fonts.Step 2: Go to the option SCALE and customize it into 150%.[Note : The reason for the problem is the scale will be more than 150% i.e, 175% or 200% .] Here I will show u the difference When the scale size was 175%. When the scale size was 150% I think this was helpfull for u . Thank You!!

Infrared and Environmental variables

Why does my pc show infrared and pictures? Also, why is One drive in environmental variables?

 

Environmental Variables Unexpected Behaviour


I wanted to include some environmental variables today and found some strange goings on. The variable I wanted to change was simply to add a PATH.

In the case of changing a user's variables:
It would be accepted but when I did a PC restart I was presented with a new blue screen that gave me the following options:
1/ Continue (which restarted the PC)
2/ Use a device
3/ Troubleshoot
4/ Turn off your PC

In the case of changing the system variables:
It would take me to the new interface and let me add my new path (through folder browse) but it would overwrite the last entry in the list. Adding a second new path did the same thing.

Anyone have any ideas?

After this post I went back in and tried using the edit line facility. I was able to exit out of the environmental variables window but I was not able to Click OK on the System Properties Window. Further I was not able to close this window at all - including the X in the top right hand corner.

Finally found the problem, I was using a file location for 1 of the paths.

It seems that when you query from command prompt it displays the Envronment variables from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Environment)



The Set command is used to display the Environmental variables. The Paths displayed on the command prompt contains the Path for the program files, Common program files, User files, AppData along with the Path displayed in the Environmental Variables
GUI.
