Windows 10: If you've been away, when should Windows require you to sign in again? - Never not available

I have spent quite sometime trying to work out how to prevent the PIN or password being entered on a Surface Go 3 device which is managed by Intune. My initial challenge was that the setting appeared to be tattooed to the device from a security policy, which was no longer in place removed all to try and enable it.I rebuilt the device which to be honest I'd like to try and avoid as I have many and then found my options were still only Every Time, or 1,2,3,4 or 5 mins.I have tried the powercfg command powercfg /SETDCVALUEINDEX SCHEME_CURRENT SUB_NONE CONSOLELOCK 0 but this makes not differe

not able to disable driving signing requirement


I'm trying to install a program on Windows 10, from several years ago, and getting the error "A digitally signed driver is required." I looked up how to disable this requirement, and followed the steps.

Shift-Shutdown

Selecting configuration option for startup configurations, reboot

Hitting F7 once I get to the options screen

reboot

And I still get the error while trying to install the program. I tried this a few times to no avail.

About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• On the right side, you will see required sign in.
• Change it to Never.
