Windows 10: igdkmd64.sys "system_threading_exception_not_handeled" BSOD

Hello everyone.


I have used Windows Pro 1804 or 1803 Can't remember for a long time and half a week ago decided to upgrade to 2004.


After the upgrade was done, as soon as the desktop appeared the PC was running very slowly, no problem I guess it's probably downloading drivers and stuff.


After 2 minutes the PC crashed and I got a BSOD "igdkmd64.sys system_threading_exception_not_handeled".


And it kept on happening before I could even log in. This is my old PC for which I had bought an GT 710 about 4 months ago now. It had Intel Graphics 2000 previously.

I forgot to mention, I'm currently on Safe Mode with Networking on the latest version and it hasn't crashed here.


Also I found a driver in Device Manager which is "Video Controller" and a few other when I restart, they all have exclamation mark in "Other devices" section. When I disable them the PC doesn't crash but runs very slowly. Also when I restart after disabling them the PC starts to crash again.


Sometimes when I press Startup Repair and manage to boot in Windows shows a notification saying it has removed some recently installed upgrades.


I also don't get the error if I disconnect the internet before setting up Windows installation.

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (igdkmd64.sys)

I try to install newest Intel HD Graphics 4600 drivers on Windows 10, but get the BSOD: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (igdkmd64.sys). I tried drivers from:

• Intel site
  
• Asus (Motherboard manufacturer) site
  
• Windows Update
  

This error come every time when trying to update the drivers. The Device Manager shows Microsoft generic VGA graphics adapter drivers and Intel drivers cannot be installed. The BSOD comes either while installing or after reboot.

The system has only Intel's onboard graphics.

How could I get Intel drivers installed without BSOD?

 

BSOD: APC_INDEX_MISMATCH igdkmd64.sys

I've tried completely uninstalling the video driver from Intel. Rebooting and installing the latest driver. But right after trying to visit Netflix in Edge it happened again (BSOD: APC_INDEX_MISMATCH igdkmd64.sys)

It only happens when I launch Netflix in Edge (but not always). It must be related somehow and I would like it fixed; it's going to damage my system in the long run.
