Windows 10: I'm 85 and trying to migrate from a Win i3 desktop computer to a Win i7 desktop computer.

On my desk I have the i3 computer running with one monitor and the i7 computer running with 2 monitors. On the i7 computer I have installed a 100G storage device in the "cloud", to use to move files between computers. I have huge number of files in my i3 computer that is still running Win 7. My new computer is running Win 11. I would like help in moving ALL of my files to the newer computer so I can then remove the older computer from my desk.

Unable to view files on Desktop on Win 10 computer with Win 7 computer

I am trying to move a file from the desktop of my Win 7 computer to that of the Win 10 computer. I find the Win 10 desktop with User => me => Desktop, but only a couple of files appear, and I cannot paste the one I want to move.

setup remote access to win 7 computer

I'm trying to help my elderly mom with her win 7 computer from afar and it's frustrating without seeing what it looks like on her end and she doesn't understand basic windows terminology even from 2 decades ago! I'm using Win 10 and downloaded Remote Desktop
App. Looking for step by step instructions, preferably with screen shots, since I have to talk her through it over the phone and I've forgotten what Win 7 desktop even looks like.

If there's a better way to do it than Remote Desktop, I'm open to suggestions.

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.
