On my desktop PC, I try to keep it up to date and running okay.

However, I noticed that my computer will no longer play videos inside of windows properly. Instead, I either end up with a black screen with the audio or in the case of one video playing app (VLC) a white screen with audio. It does not seem to matter which app I try to use they all seem to have the same visual issue whenever I attempt to play any sort of video off of my system. So I think this is some sort of windows/driver problem rather than an app problem. Online videos in areas like youtube work just fine.

I've attempted to make sure all my drivers were updated via the device manager. This includes all of the drivers that could be causing the problem (audio, display, graphic card, network adapter). Windows itself is fully updated and I make sure to update it on a regular basis.

The problem also does not seem to be from anyone plugged into the system as it happens even when I've unplugged.

Has anyone else run into this sort of issue with the latest windows update? Have you been able to find a solution that works?

    Pentium M

Not sure what I'm looking at. Though when I do go to Options and then CPU it lists my CPU
as Intel Pentium M processor 1.73 GHz, and then under that it lists speed: 799.9 MHz
and then features and cache size.I ran the benchmark test and don't understand all
those numbers, but while testing I checked CPUZ and it still says it is running at 800 MHz.
