I want to know that can i find the owner who has installed a license key in my laptop it is showing that my windows is activated by organization and when i contacted them they said they have nothing to do with it.. My personal files are getting attacked i am going to file a police complaint against the organization now they are asking me show the proof that it is activated by their organization where it is written our company name then only we will do anything and then they disappeared and not responded since then so i want to know how can i find the name of company or owner with the right details who has activated organization licence on my personal laptop please do tell me my windows are getting attacked how can someone do like that without my concern why such thing is made like this so anyone can active anything on your personal emails and laptops without authorization and conformation i want answers please.

Hi Bree, thanks for stepping up to address this issue.
As far as I know my External Drive has only been used on my PC.

I could try to implement your suggestion and take Ownership of those Folders.
The "Take Ownership" link is present in my right click menu, but I'm currently logged in with my Microsoft account, so perhaps it would be better if I went Properties --> Security --> Advanced & set the Owner to Administrators, no?!

Although my mind is bugged with a new question now.
If I change the Owner & later on I have to restore a backup (Acronis on a CD) won't I encounter problems then?

 

using laptop as second monitor?

looking for either a mouse/keyboard share program or some way to use my laptop as a second monitor when i am at home. The laptop is windows 8 the desktop windows 7. i tried to download a program called Synergy but it led me to some weird 3rd party download host where they want you to download their installer, or their toolbar etc etc decided to not got that route. any other suggestions?
