Windows 10: im about to update my pc to windows 10 1909 but kinda overthink

does reinstalling from 1803 to 1909 will make any critical problem like lost all data in the HDD for no reason?

i heard some update wipe data without any warning for no reason

i want to upgrade from current windows 10 because it kinda buggy everywhere and randomly freeze

usually use overwrite methode that make windows old folder, not clean install.

is it safe?

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

No you do not need to update to 1809 - 1903 if you are currently on version 1803, then version 1909 will appear in the list of updates and will automatically be installed on your PC since 1803 has run out of support

You do not need to do anything, 1909 is currently spreading around the world, just give it time to appear in the list of pending updates . . .
