Windows 10: I’m at my breaking point

For about the past 7 months I’ve had windows problems. I had to pay 70 dollars at a computer repair place for them to fix driver problems. When I got it it back it was fine for about 2 months. Than all of a sudden the following problems happened: to open photos I have use VLC, the bottom task bar shows when I’m watching something in full screen, I can’t open windows settings, I can’t open windows search bar, Trying to do either of the top 2 things I get this “file system error (-2144927439),

I have tried doing system file checker and it hasn’t fixed anything . If anyone had advice please tell me. I don’t want to have to pay someone to fix this more than I already have.

Windows 10 Pro and Ergnomic Break Reminder

Hi,



Apologies for the late reply.



Do you remember installing any break reminder software?



It looks like it is a pop up from a break reminder software.



I suggest you to look for this in Programs in features and uninstall it if do not use it.



Try the following steps:

• 
  Press Windows + R keys to open Run Command
  
• 
  Type Appwiz.cpl and hit enter
  
• 
  Search for the programs and un-install it.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.

I suggest you to Perform System Restore.

Since, the issue occurred after making changes in HKCR so, I suggest you to perform system restore.

Refer this section “Restore from a system restore point”
in the below link and check if it helps.

Important Note: Restoring won’t affect your personal files, but it will remove apps, drivers and updates installed after the restore point was made.

After performing System restore the try the following methods and check if it helps.



Method 2: Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet connection. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue
is with your internet.

Refer these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
  
• 
  Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
  
• 
  Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
  
• 
  Run the Internet Connection troubleshooter and Network Adapter troubleshooter.
  

Method 3.Try updating the Network Adapter drivers from the manufacturer's website and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to update the Network Adapter drivers:

a. Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.

b. Expand Network Adapter.

c. Right-click on the Ethernet and click on Update driver software.

d. Restart the computer and check.
