Windows 10: Im confused - Does Office not come with Windows 10 pro?

    Im confused - Does Office not come with Windows 10 pro?


    To gain windows 10 pro, you had to own Windows 7 office (which I did). My system says I have Windows 10 Pro and it is verified.

    I go to download office and I see this "365" stuff. Apparently office now costs 7 dollars a month? 84 dollars a year, every year? If this is the case, then this notion of "free" just become a little misleading. Basically I'm paying the same price for an operating system every year instead of every 5+ years.

    Am I wrong on this?

    It is unfortunate you have ended up in this situation.

    This issue persists because you might have accidently downloaded Czech language ISO.

    I would suggest you try downloading ISO once again in US-Eng, and install.

    I'm not sure what you're talking about. Office and Windows are two different things, and they have never come together, except in special bundling deals.

    There's no such thing as "Windows 7 office". To get Windows 10 pro, you need WIndows 7 pro or ultimate. (or 8.x pro)
