Windows 10: I'm getting a black rectangle with a 1 in a square and the words Lock and Unlock on it

    I'm getting a black rectangle with a 1 in a square and the words Lock and Unlock on it


    I'm getting a black rectangle with a 1 in a Square and the words Lock and Unlock that just keeps popping up in the upper left corner of my screen. Pressing 1 doesn't do anything and my lock screen doesn't engage but it's annoying. I've rebooted my computer twice but it still happens.

    Black Squares and Rectangles Coming up on Screen

    I bought a used Toshiba laptop that had been upgraded to windows 10. The touchpad on it wont work and when I use the USB mouse there are black squares and rectangles appearing on the screen. Can anyone help me with this problem?

    Black rectangle appears in search view

    Black (dark gray) rectangle appearing on fresh windows 10 installation (Oct 2018) when trying to use search on start menu.

    Steps:

    1. Pressed start menu button.

    2. Started typing.

    3. Transformed to search view where rectangle appearred.
