I'm getting limited internet connection because of my WiFi extender, but I am not able to get internet via Ethernet to my desktop from my router

Thanks for the reply but im connected to the wifi repeater/extender ok but not to the internet. if i get close enough to the router to pick up its wifi signal i can connect to that and get the internet no problem. i just can't get the internet through my
wifi extender but i could untill i got a windows update on my computer.

My windows 10 laptop has just updated and now it won't connect to my wifi extended. Its showing a secured contection but no internet. over the past month my surface RT tablet and my windows phone are both experiencing the same problems (the tablet
showing limited connectivity) I have other devices that are working perfectly, kindle fire tablet, a samsung tablet and im now using my old lap top running on vista in my office which connects without a problem so i know i haven't a problem with my internet.
I've tried turning the router off and on and although this worked for my surface tablet initially, within an hour it was back with limited connectivity. One more thing to note, i can connect directly to the router's wifi no problem its just when i try to connect
to the wifi extender and i have been using the extender for 9 months without a problem up untill now.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated as im loosing patience with my microsoft devices.

Ran troubleshooting and did it lists what exactly was missing, if it works using the routers wifi without the extender then i would believe you found the issue being the extender since it has been intermittent in the past. Been issues here with WiFi extenders, doubt the Windows update caused it.
