Windows 10: I'm having an issue trying to update windows, keep getting error 800700C1

i have been getting errors for the past month on win 10 updating to 1607 verison. I have followed several different suggestions but keep getting error 800700c1

Windows 10 update gives error code 800700c1

I installed windows 10 about a year ago without issues. When I try to install the anniversary update it fails with error code 800700c1. How can I fix this?

My free update to windows 10 has become available, so I began the installation, however once it had downloaded the update failed. Every time I try to update my windows 7 it fails with the error code: 800700C1. I have no idea of how to fix this, so i can
upgrade my system. Any ideas?
